Just after WWDC 13 iBeacon hype catapaulted from an unmentioned bullet on a slide. EVERYONE wanted to know about iBeacon so the best way was to build an app thats demonstrates how it works.
The app had two modes. - 1) It could turn your device into a beacon to transmit as a
beacon - 2) It could be set into discover mode to receive configured
beacon transmissions.

A complimentary app to get current users of the Chase Freedom Card to not only use their card more, but to inform them how many points they have earned - what they can get for those points based on their location - the equivalent of their points in dollars
and how far away they are from reaching the next goal in the reward points rewards program
